What is a Talent ID Camp?

Hear from Our Camp Attendees

  • “The Crew Connection Talent ID Camp was an incredible opportunity for our son to learn more about the US college recruiting process, as well as providing him with a unique opportunity to speak directly with coaches from some of the top programmes. I would highly recommend the Talent ID Camp to any young athlete that is serious about taking their rowing to the next level at a US college!”

  • “The Crew Connection Talent ID Camp was a fantastic afternoon and way for the rowers to learn firsthand, directly from the U.S. coaches what they are looking for and what makes each college different. The camp also allowed time for parents to be there to support and ask in an informal setting about all those other things any parent would want to know.”

  • “The Crew Connection event was absolutely fantastic especially for coxes and rowers looking to take the next step in their careers. It was an incredible opportunity to meet and connect with coaches from all across America, learn more about US college recruiting, and get real, expert insight into what coaches are looking for. The energy throughout the day was brilliant, and I found the sessions really valuable for both my confidence and understanding of the process. The whole event was so well organised, and I have to give a huge shout-out to Sholto and Jack, who put everything together so smoothly and made everyone feel welcome and supported. It was inspiring, informative, and an amazing day all round.”

  • “The camp was a great way for me to get to know how the process works. I came into it thinking that this was a very distant possibility, and left thinking it was actually an achievable thing for me to do.

It's amazing to meet recruiting coaches from US universities in one place face to face. An invaluable opportunity to make connections which hopefully can be built on in the future.”

  • “The camp was a fantastic way for the rowers to learn first hand, directly from the US coaches what they are looking for and what makes each college different. It was designed to be a day for the rowers, which is very important but did allow parents enough time to be there to support and ask in an informal setting about all those other things any parent would want to know. “
