Your registration for and participation in the Crew Connection Talent ID Camp (the "Event") are subject to these Terms & Conditions, as well as Crew Connection's general Privacy Policy available at crewconnection.co.uk/privacypolicy. By registering for the Event, you (and, if applicable, your parent or guardian) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Crew Connection Inc. ("Crew Connection" or "the Company"). If you are registering on behalf of an athlete under 18, you acknowledge that you have the authority to do so and that these terms apply to both you and the athlete.
1. Eligibility
The Crew Connection Talent ID Camp is open to athletes in Grade 9 and above (age 15 or older).
Athletes under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete registration and accept these Terms & Conditions on their behalf.
All participants must confirm they are medically fit to participate in rowing and ergometer training.
2. NCAA Compliance & Communication Policy
Crew Connection operates in full compliance with NCAA recruiting regulations.
Athletes in Grade 11 (Junior) and Grade 12 (Senior) may use this event to network with college coaches and discuss recruiting opportunities directly.
For Grade 9 and Grade 10 (Freshman/Sophomore) athletes, the camp provides an opportunity for coaches to observe performance and get athletes on their radar early.
Before June 15th following an athlete's sophomore year (Grade 10), U.S. college coaches are generally restricted from engaging in recruiting-specific discussions under NCAA rules.
Grade 9 and Grade 10 athletes and their parents/guardians must not initiate or attempt to discuss recruiting interest, scholarship opportunities, or coach evaluations directly.
Please respect these rules, to run this event successfully, Crew Connection must remain in full alignment with NCAA recruiting policies.
3. Athlete Conduct & Behaviour
Athletes must maintain professional and respectful conduct toward coaches, staff, and peers throughout the event.
Unsportsmanlike behaviour, disrespect, or any form of harassment will not be tolerated.
Participants must follow staff instructions at all times during erg testing, on-water sessions, and workshops.
Crew Connection reserves the right to remove any participant who disrupts the event or breaches these conduct expectations, without refund.
4. Safeguarding & Minor Athlete Policy
Crew Connection is committed to providing a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
All athletes under 18 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
All event communication and updates will be sent to the parent or guardian email address provided at registration.
Minor athletes will be supervised at all times by Crew Connection staff and Yale University personnel.
A qualified first-aid provider will be present throughout the event.
Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to the event organiser.

5. Health & Safety
Participants must disclose any relevant medical conditions or injuries prior to the event via the registration form.
Crew Connection staff will have access to first-aid support but are not responsible for managing pre-existing conditions.
Participants take part at their own risk and must follow all safety instructions provided during the event.
Participants are responsible for ensuring they are appropriately warmed up before physical activities.
In the event of a medical emergency, Crew Connection staff may arrange professional medical care and will contact the parent or guardian immediately.
6. Insurance Requirement
Yale University requires all camp participants to hold valid accident and medical insurance covering sports and athletic activities.
Participants (or their parent/guardian) must confirm at registration that the athlete holds valid accident and medical insurance covering sports and athletic activities, and that this coverage will be active for the full duration of the camp.
Crew Connection accepts no liability for costs arising from inadequate, lapsed, or absent insurance coverage.
Participants are advised to have their insurance details accessible on the day of the event.
7. Yale University Venue Forms
As a condition of using Yale University facilities, all participants are required to complete additional forms provided directly by Yale University prior to the event.

These documents will be sent to registered participants once the Yale rental contract is confirmed. Completion of all Yale-required forms is a condition of participation. Crew Connection aims to issue all forms at the same time to minimise administrative burden.
8. Refund & Cancellation Policy
Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will receive a full refund.
Cancellations within 30 days of the event are non-refundable.
Crew Connection reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to severe weather, illness, force majeure, or safety concerns. In such cases, all participants will be offered a transfer to a rescheduled date or a full refund.
9. Photography & Media Policy
Crew Connection may capture photography and short video clips during the event for marketing and educational purposes.
Athletes or parents who prefer not to appear in media must indicate this during registration or at check-in on the day. Crew Connection will ensure their anonymity is respected in all media use.
Audio recording of coaches or sessions is not permitted without prior written consent from Crew Connection.
Filming the event or posting content on social media must only be done with the permission of all athletes and staff visible in the footage.
All photography and video content captured by Crew Connection remains the property of Crew Connection Inc. and may be used for promotional and educational purposes.
10. Liability
Please read this section carefully. It describes the allocation of risk between participants and Crew Connection.
Rowing and ergometer training carry inherent physical risks. By participating, athletes and their parents/guardians acknowledge these inherent risks.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Connecticut law, Crew Connection, Yale University, and associated staff are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages sustained during the event, except in cases of proven negligence or wilful misconduct.
Crew Connection will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, including travel, accommodation, or equipment expenses.
Nothing in these Terms limits Crew Connection's liability for death or personal injury caused by its own negligence.
Participants note that Connecticut law places limitations on the enforceability of liability waivers signed on behalf of minors. The Yale University venue forms (Section 7) address assumption of risk and release under Connecticut law and are required independently of these Terms.
11. Parental Consent & Emergency Contact
For all athletes under 18, a parent or guardian must provide emergency contact details and consent for basic first-aid treatment if required.
In a medical emergency, Crew Connection staff may arrange professional medical care and will contact the parent or guardian immediately.
12. Event Format & Schedule
Crew Connection reserves the right to make reasonable adjustments to the event schedule, session structure, or attending coaches due to unforeseen circumstances.
Any material changes will be communicated to registered participants as early as possible.
13. Ticket Transfers
Places are non-transferable without prior written permission from Crew Connection.
Any unauthorised transfer or resale may result in cancellation of the place without refund.
14. Data & Privacy
By registering, participants consent to Crew Connection collecting and securely storing their personal information, including contact details and performance data (such as erg scores and technical evaluations).
This information will be shared only with verified U.S. college coaches attending the event, for the purpose of athlete evaluation and potential recruitment.
Personal data will not be sold or shared with any third parties outside of attending college coaches and Crew Connection staff.
All data will be handled in accordance with applicable U.S. federal and Connecticut state privacy laws.

15. Disclaimer of Results
Participation in the Crew Connection Talent ID Camp does not guarantee recruitment outcomes, scholarship offers, or follow-up communication from college coaches.
The purpose of the camp is to provide athletes with educational, developmental, and exposure opportunities in a compliant setting.
Crew Connection cannot influence admission or scholarship decisions made by colleges or universities.
16. Equipment & Venue Use
Athletes must treat all equipment and Yale University facilities with care.
Any deliberate damage or misuse may result in removal from the event and liability for repair or replacement costs.
17. Force Majeure
Crew Connection shall not be liable for any delay, cancellation, or change to the event caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, natural disasters, transport disruption, illness, venue unavailability, or government restrictions. In such cases, Crew Connection will make every reasonable effort to reschedule the event or offer participants a transfer or full refund.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Connecticut.
19. Code of Conduct
Athletes and parents/guardians confirm they have read and understood Crew Connection's expectations of professional conduct, integrity, and sportsmanship, and agree to uphold these values throughout the event.
20. Agreement
By completing registration, participants (and parents/guardians, where the athlete is under 18) confirm that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
