Mentoring Team

Our team has a track record of excellence and success both on the water and in the classroom.

All of our team members are recent graduates from Ivy League schools and elite institutions, including UC Berkeley. They have competed at the Olympics or World Championships, bringing home medals. Our mentors have succeeded at the highest levels of rowing and college admissions, giving our athletes confidence and helping them focus on what matters most.

Flo Donald

Flo is a Princeton graduate and current law student. A former rower for Team GB and an Ivy League champion, she brings over 10 years of experience in rowing. Flo is passionate about helping athletes navigate the U.S. recruitment process and making the most of their opportunities.



Dave Ambler

Dave is a Harvard graduate with a degree in Psychology and a former Varsity rower. He won a Bronze medal in the men’s four at the Paris 2024 Olympics and has been on the British National Team for three years, competing in multiple World and European Championships. Starting his journey at St. Paul’s and Tideway Scullers, Dave brings his experience navigating U.S. collegiate recruiting and is passionate about helping young athletes access opportunities at top U.S. universities through Crew Connection.

Sonya Gladstone

Sonya Gladstone is a Yale University graduate with a degree in Psychology and was a coxswain on the men’s heavyweight team.

Following her graduation in 2022, she joined the senior squad at Leander Club, where she trained and raced full-time in Henley-on-Thames. Sonya coaches and mentors coxes, both in London, and back home in the US. She is dedicated to helping coxswains hone their skills and reach their goals, in the classroom, on the water, and on their path to U.S. college admissions.
