Data Permission

This page explains what Crew Connection collects when we verify an athlete’s height and wingspan, and what we do with it.

Who we are. Crew Connection, Inc., a Delaware corporation, 131 Continental Dr, Suite 305, Newark, DE 19713, United States. Contact: crew@crewconnection.co.uk.

What we collect. Athlete name and email, parent or guardian email, class, club, team, country, height, wingspan, and a self-reported 2k with its date.

What we do with it. We email the results and a PDF certificate to the parent or guardian and the athlete. We share the athlete’s name, email, class, club, team, height, wingspan and 2k with US college rowing coaches. Height and wingspan are measured by us. The 2k is self-reported and labeled that way.

How coaches see it. We share the list only with coaches at US college rowing programs in our network. Before they see it, each coach agrees to our terms, including not passing the list on. They get a view-only link to a live list showing each athlete’s name, email, class, club, team, height, wingspan and 2k. Coaches cannot edit it, and anyone who withdraws comes off it. We do not post the list publicly. Coaches remain bound by their own recruiting rules, including NCAA rules on when they may contact athletes.

Updates. If you tick the updates box, Crew Connection and WinTech Racing may email you recruiting news and opportunities, including WinTech’s rowing combine in November 2027. We share only your name and email with WinTech for this.

Who else sees it. We do not share parent emails with coaches.

How long. Up to 48 months from the date of measurement, then deleted or anonymized.

Withdrawing. Use our withdraw form or email us at any time. Coaches see a live list, so once you withdraw you come off it.

Updating your scores. We are building a way for you to update your 2k on our sharing platform. The best way to update coaches is still to email them yourself, once you are of recruiting age.

Your rights. Wherever you live, you can ask to see the data we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. We reply within 30 days.

Where your data is handled. By our team in the United States and the United Kingdom, using Squarespace and Google.

Under 18. Athletes aged 13 to 17 can give permission themselves. We email their parent or guardian the same day, and a parent or guardian can withdraw them at any time. We do not collect data from anyone under 13 unless a parent or guardian completes the form.

Who can access it. Only the Crew Connection team can see the full data. Coaches see the list described above.

Unsubscribing. Every updates email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us.

Changes. If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and email you first. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else we do.
